Maverick Sabre // I Need (Acoustic)
Here’s the acoustic version of Maverick Sabre’s ‘I Need’, off the EP which was released to Itunes today.
This version of the song sees Maverick strip it right back to basics even more so than he did on the ‘Travelling Man’ mixtape. And it really is the perfect song to get the acoustic treatment, as Maverick’s soul filled vocals stand out even more against a simple guitar.
‘I Need’ is one of the best songs of the year. It’s so relatable, contrasting the harshness of the Winter months with hopes and dreams to get us through the harder times. Maverick has such great songwriting skills, so support him and get the track off Itunes, you won’t regret it. http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/i-need-remixes/id467964285
Maverick Sabre // I Need [SB. TV Acoustic 64 Performance]
This A64 performance from Maverick Sabre would have to be my favourite A64 performance ever. Shot over a year ago, even before the ‘Travelling Man’ EP came out, ‘I Need’ is shown off in its rawest form.
Performing the song on a street corner, it’s amazing to think that people actually walked past as he was performing. His voice, backed only by an acoustic guitar, is amazing. There’s just so much soul in that instantly recognisable voice, it really does tell a story.
‘I Need’ is one of the best tracks of the year - I know I’ve said that about a few, but this is well up in my top 10. The track just tells such an honest story and is perfect for chilling in these depressing Winter months. So check out the video, it should blow you away.
Maverick Sabre // I Need [Music Video]
I love the video for Maverick’s new one ‘I Need’. There’s some stunning scenery in the it, which really suits the song.
The video’s very British, and features lots of footage which looks like it could be homemade or on a older video camera. I think this is one of the reasons I like it so much, because it’s relatable.
The single version of the song used in the video is different from the mixtape version I posted a while back. It’s a lot less acoustic, and a lot more downbeat and atmospheric. I can’t decide which version I prefer, but I love how soulful the new one is.
Give the song a good listen while watching the video, it’s amazing.
